these days I've reached over 500 watchers, and I want to thank you all for sticking around all this time! It feels good to see that my art does resonate with so many people and that they are interested in what I will do in future projects. I may not have been the most active, but I for sure am looking forward to getting to paint more.

 

So I wanted to share some of my watcher's artwork as a little "thank you"! Maybe you will find new artists to watch!

Its about time to check what I was able to manage, and not manage from last years list. The year has been quite different for me, thatn the others before, because I felt that I generally have experienced a lot that changed my personality to the better. Also I managed to get into my design-study, an iam having a great time there, even doh its very stressful. Very nice people there, and some very good friends amongs them!

so I remembered that I did a list for the resolutions for last year....and I just read it throught. Well lets check out first, what I was able to manage in 2016. (you can check the journal, if you're interested: My Resolution For The Year 2016My Resolution for the Year 2016
Hi there, dear watchers. I know I seldom write Journals, but I decided it would be appropriate to do one for the Year 2016. To be honest I feel like 2015 has been quite the shit year for the world in general, since many bad things happend (Charlie Hebdo Attacks, Syrian Crysis, Paris attacks 13th November, Earthquake in Nepal ans so much more!)  and quite a few popular people have died: Terry Pratchett, Kurt Masur, Helmut Schmidt, Lemmy Kilmister, only to name a few of those that are not longer under the living.
Its might be naive to hope that 2016 is going to be a better year, but there is always a chance of things going better....but same applies for it going worse. 
For me personal 2015 has been quite the weird year, sitting around at home most of the time doing some art playing videogames, and trying to get into studying design.  I applied the third time now, and I think this time its gotta work out fine, but one never knows (gotta  )

I managed to do more sports and loose some weight, but only a bit (like 3-4 kg or so, but its something). Got back into cycling, and Iam looking soo forward to the year 2017 to have more mountainbiking going on! I also managed to get better at my instruments, piano and guitar, even doh I had less time than the year before, due to studying. I composed some stuff, but its still in my head^^. Also managed to have a stable daily routine, but mostly due to my studies.....in the breaks I still go to bed late. Managed to go hiking in Austria this year, so I also manged this, which is nice! A good artwork per week....weeelll, didn't manage that to be honest, but there have been lots of drawings I had to do for my studies that are not online. So I reckon I got more practise than before. I also got better at human anatomy due to the courses at my Design- studies, which is nice. It also got me into more sketching, which was also one of my 2016 goals.
Didn't establish my main world too much, but made other worlds (like Neonormant).....that I need to explore further, but hey, there is plenty of time!
Did make some animations for school, but only Montiondesign mostly. But it got me into the hang of how to work with After Effects! I may make a funny Gif or something soon. +
With new Artworks, I use less and less layers in Photoshop. And I even managed to get Photoshop run more efficient, so that I can have huge resolutions, which is Nice ^^
Frankly, I didn't play much games at all this year. So Its only natural, that I didn't improve in starcraft 2 aswell.....but played some matches with a colleague, which I really enjoyed.
Didn more stuff more often with my friends, but mostly it was simply cycling or something. No boardgames or something. Also no Dungeons and Dragons, but its still on my List haha. But in genereal I got more social than before.  Didn't grow a beard doh.....didn't work out evenly, so I shave allways.....don't know If I even want a beard anymore........well lets see ^^

So this has been the revision of my 2016 Resolutions. In general I have to say, that i was suprised how much of my points I was able to managed! So I think its a good idea to do another list. Some things may stay the same, some may be added. 

The 2017 Resolution

1. Do more sports, get more mountainbiking done, and have fun! Getting fitter is a nice side effect!
2. Even more Instrument Practising.....make a band. Lets see how this works out!
3. Write down my compositions, finalize projects.
4. Get some more travelling done
5. Get more efficient in digital art
6. Learn more about Anatomy in general/sketch more
7. Get some animating done
8. Finish some of the games I have started for ages now.....
9. Do more with friends (this one stays ^^)
10. Visit Internetfriends. (didn't work this year :/)
11. Open to Comissions,
12. Get more Professional, make a proper portfolio
13. Get myself an Artstation account.
14. Make a own logo
15. Update my icon.

Well I reckon that has been the list for so far. The last few points might be the new goals. Yes I want to finally start with comissions, and to get an Artstation account. I feel like it would be about time! But I still have to think about pricing, and my terms etc. Iam looking forward to it!

I thought it would be good to talk a bit about my #inktober2016 Experience. It was the first time, I made this challenge, and I've learned a lot about Inking and coming up with ideas

But you may have noticed, that I have not made 31 Drawings, but 21. Why ist this? Well......didn't find the time, thats the problem. As I've started this challenge with quite detailed drawings, I didn't want to go ahead an lower my level of detail, only because of time saving reasons. But this made it also difficult to draw daily, and find the time to sit 1:30-2:30 hours on these drawings. The Size Din a4 also didn't help with this either

There were other things to draw for technical School at the moment. Conceptart for our Movie.....(and tossing them away pretty much, because we decided on changing the whole plot over and over again ;_ and also Tasks for my Illustration course... (thinking about it....there is something to be made due to Monday. Argh)

So next year, I will probably participate in Inktober again, but reduce my size to A5 or something, so I can manage to get it done it time. 

Iam thinking about still making the "missing 10" drawings, but on the other hand I rather have to spend my time and efford in work for school at the moment. I also have some Digital Art to do for that, and I alaso have some drawings sitting on my Computer for like 2 Months untouched.......and I finaally wanna get them over with, so I can get my head clean. (They're dragons...hoooray 

I just thought it would be interesting to give you guys a little update on this!

Hi guys. It has been quite a while since I was doing anything on the site, other than writing notes etc. As you may know, I study Design for half a year now at my local institute of technology. Had quite a lot of task to do there, for a all of the ten module. Photographs, Posters, Illustrations, written Word, a 3D Model, speculative Commercial and a lot more. Because of this I was not really able to find time to do my own artworks.

I would like to upload some of the Illustrations I did there. Got also a bunch of half-decent sketches laying around, which I wanna paint further as a practise, to get back into drawing digitally. In this half year I mostly drew everything traditionally, since I found it to be an oppurtunity to get back into practising this. But for now, I really miss painting in PS! 

So. Iam Still alive guys. There be dragons, and other stuff! Got break until the end of September now. Quite a lot of time. I hope to meet some friends in this time, and get some trips done.

like the title says, iam quite busy with my study-tasks at the moment, and I almost find no time to do personal art. I've made projects for my study, including a self-portrait, but I kindoff don't feel like uploading it here.

Lets see, If I can get myself to do some more stuff next week.
